Upcoming Free Agents and Top Performers 📈
An updated look at this offseason's free agents and the top performers from the past weekend.

We’re more than halfway through August now with incredibly tight playoff races to keep track of across baseball.
September will become all about the postseason push, but we’ve got some offseason content brewing in what figures to be an extremely fascinating winter for the sport of baseball.
Keep an eye out for our Updated Top 100 Prospects dropping next week as well!
Updated Top Free Agents
While our attention will soon shift purely to postseason races, it’s a good time to check in on the upcoming class of free agents this offseason.
Despite plenty of uncertainty around the CBA and a potential lockout, these players will be looking to secure their bag whether it comes before or after a work stoppage.
These are the players we’ve got headlining this free agency class!
Starting pitching talent is abundant. Beyond the obvious top free agent in Tarik Skubal, who could potentially become become one of the highest paid pitchers of all-time, there are many starting pitchers putting themselves in position to get paid.
Starters like Clay Holmes, Nick Martinez, and others have elevated their stock in a big way, becoming some of the more sought after players who will be available this winter.
Outfielders represent the top bats. There is definitely a gap between the pitching and hitting talent in this free agency class, but the top few bats are expected to be a trio of outfielders, two of which play for the Cubs as of now.
Despite the Mariners being stuck in the middle of a brutal year, Randy Arozarena has played himself into being likely the top bat in the entire class.

Joshua Baez Rewrites the Debut Record Book
Nobody has ever had a better first MLB game than Cardinals outfield prospect Joshua Baez, who launched home runs in each of his first three at-bats, the first time that’s ever been done in league history.
The first one was launched 450 feet dead center. The second was a line drive to the pull side. The third was a backside homer to right.
There’s some whiff concern, but it’s elite pop, evidenced by Baez’s 34 homers in 103 Triple-A games prior to his call-up.
Noah Cameron’s Complete-Game One-Hitter
Royals lefty Noah Cameron turned in one of the best outings of the year, tossing a complete-game one-hitter and striking out eight in a 115-pitch effort.
Cameron took a no-hitter into the bottom of the seventh and did not allow a single batted ball north of 100 miles per hour.
He started calling his own pitches five outings ago and has posted a 1.19 ERA since. He told reporters it feels like he’s playing MLB The Show.
Reid Detmers Goes Eight Shutout
Reid Detmers turned in a gem of his own in the same series just a day prior, tossing eight innings of shutout ball with 11 strikeouts and no walks on just 92 pitches.
The Angels southpaw now has a 1.83 ERA since the All-Star break.
Logan Henderson Outduels Skubal in LA
Logan Henderson outdueled Tarik Skubal in LA in what was a pitching clinic by the 24-year-old.
Henderson held the Dodgers to just one run (on a solo homer) in seven innings of work, keeping hitters off balance all game by dotting the heater to set up his nasty changeup.
The start marked Henderson’s 17th consecutive outing allowing three earned runs or fewer, the third-longest such streak since 1893, according to ESPN Insights.
The craziest part: He’s only made 17 big league starts.
