Top Prospect Promotions and Standouts 🔜☎️
We provide updates on top prospects who have been promoted recently and others showing out lately.

This time of year brings excitement in the prospect world as top names in every system often receive a bump to get a taste of the next level (or big leagues) ahead of likely starting at the new level next year.
In the past few days, SEVEN of our Top 100 Prospects were promoted to the next level, while plenty of other prospects of note were as well.
Another factor in play is attempting to maintain rookie eligibility for prospects in 2026, which means many teams will chose not to promote players to MLB until August 16th or later.
We’ve got plenty of content coming even in the “dog days” of the season! We’ll focus on top prospects around the game for now, some of which could debut in the near future.
Prospect Promotions
Mets Promote Four Prospects to Triple-A
This may quite have to with it, but it’s worth noting that New York is in a major skid right now and they absolutely need to turn it around sooner than later to maintain a spot in the postseason.
Could part of that process mean getting some of their elite prospects into the fold?
It seems like either Nolan McLean (JB #42 MLB Prospect) or Brandon Sproat (JB #88) could debut this week with Frankie Montas heading to the bullpen, and the Mets have a variety of players who could have a shot to debut.
Carson Benge (JB #19), Jett Williams (JB #29), Jonah Tong (JB #47), and Ryan Clifford were all given the bump to Triple-A, putting them one stop away from New York.
Benge and Tong have been two of the biggest risers among all prospects in baseball.
Jonah Tong’s first-half numbers were ridiculous!
78.2 IP

Guardians Send Travis Bazzana and Cooper Ingle to Triple-A
Cleveland has gone on a surprising run since the break, putting themself back into play for a spot in the postseason. Two of their top prospects could have a shot to debut and bolster this lineup if things keep trending the right way.
The 2024 first overall pick, Travis Bazzana (JB #39), has seen his first full season derailed by injury, but has still reached Triple-A after returning in July to post quality numbers in Double-A.
Meanwhile, Cooper Ingle (JB #60) remains one of the more underrated prospects in baseball and could viably take over as the primary catcher for the Guardians sooner than later.
Ryan Sloan makes it to High-A
One of the top-ranked young arms in baseball has gotten his first promotion of the season ahead of what could be a massive 2026 season. Ryan Sloan (JB #40) has shown elite upside and projectability at just 19 years old in his first full pro season as he’ll finish the year at the next level now.

Recent Top Performers
We’re working on delivering “Heat Sheet” episodes of The Call Up every week to highlight the top prospect performers around baseball.
Our latest edition focused on some players we have discussed all season and others have put their name on the radar in recent weeks.
Bryce Eldridge is destroying Triple-A. The Giants top prospect have been great all season, but taken it up another notch lately. He has a 157 wRC+ with 9 home runs across the past three weeks as his elite power upside is starting to shine.
Walker Jenkins is coming into his own. One of the top picks of the 2023 Draft has had some ups and downs this season while dealing with injuries. Now we’re starting to see his elite upside at the Double-A level.
Walker Jenkins over his last 15 games at Double-A:
.315/.409/.593
4 HR
8 BB
171 wRC+Our #20 prospect is heating up in a big way after injuries derailed the beginning of his season.

Josh Adamczewski could be next great Brewers prospect. Drafted in the 15th round in 2023, the 20-year-old infielder has been excellent in Single-A since returning from injury in July.
Kendry Chourio is a name to keep an eye on. The 17-year-old pitching prospect has jumped from the Dominican Summer League to Arizona Complex League and now to Single-A in his first professional season. Yeah, that’s pretty nuts.
Other Headlines
Marlins prospect Jakob Marsee has gone off to start his MLB career since being promoted at the start of August.
The only players in MLB history to have at least 6 hits, 5 XBH, and 4 BB in their first 5 career games:
Topsy Hartsel (1901)
Bill Sudakis (1968)
Mike Jacobs (2005)
Jakob Marsee (2025)Marsee is off to a historic start for the Marlins.

Speaking of prospects hot out of the gate, Warming Bernabel (top 5 name in the league?) has been awesome since debuting for Colorado.
White Sox prospect and their former top prospect Colson Montgomery has been going off since the All-Star Break. He looks a lot more like the top prospect version of himself than the one who struggled in Triple-A for the past year.
Players with 10+ HR in the 2nd half:
Kyle Schwarber (12)
Shea Langeliers (11)
Colson Montgomery (10)The White Sox have a special talent on their hands.
