Just kidding…who cares. Without further ado, it’s time for our Top 100 MLB Prospect Update!

Aram Leighton’s comprehensive Top 100 Prospects List dropped yesterday with 25 new players added, huge risers, and the absolute best scouting reports you will find.

Let’s take a look at some of the highlights from the list. Make sure to listen to Tuesday’s episode of the Just Baseball Show and The Call Up for in-depth analysis on the entire list!

Top 100 Prospects

Roman Anthony is the top prospect in MLB. The 21-year-old outfielder is destined for Boston soon as he has destroyed Triple-A through two months. Through 55 games, he has posted a .915 OPS with 20 extra-base hits.

Bubba Chandler is the clear top pitcher. The Pirates’ top prospect is our only arm in the top 10 as he has annihilated batters in Triple-A this season. He has a 2.03 ERA with 69 strikeouts across his first 48.2 innings.

Three teenagers crack the top of the list. Leodalis De Vries, Sebastian Walcott, and Jesus Made slot into the top 7 of this update. Walcott is holding his own at 19 years old in Double-A while De Vries is in High-A and Made in Single-A with both just 18 years old. The future is bright with this trio as shining young studs.

Newcomers

25 newcomers is our most yet in a Top 100 Update. A quarter of players on our Top 100 are new from last time and that gives us a ton to talk about. We detailed every new player in this episode of The Call Up.

Luis Peña debuts at 12th. Jumping into the Top 100 for the first time is big, but debuting in the top 20 is unreal. That is the highest a player has ever debuted on our Top 100 and Peña deserves it. The 18-year-old has a .333/.403/.561 slash line with 15 XBH and 23 SB in his first 31 games in Single-A this season.

George Lombard Jr. and Franklin Arias debut within top 25. The best rivalry in baseball now features two more extremely exciting young talents. Lombard, a former first rounder, dominated High-A early in the year to earn a promotion to Double-A at just 20 years old. Arias is hitting .372 since earning a promotion to High-A at 19 years old.

Three Mets make the list as farm continues to shine. Nolan McLean, Jonah Tong, and Jacob Reimer all made the list as the Mets are tied for the second-most prospects on the Top 100 with six. Their farm system has improved drastically in last year!

Biggest Risers

Jacob Misiorowski skyrockets to fourth-best pitcher. After an up-and-down 2024 season, the Brewers top pitching prospect has a 2.31 ERA with 73 strikeouts in Triple-A while regularly throwing over 100 mph on his 70-grade heater.

Arjun Nimmala is mashing in his second professional season. At just 19 years old, Nimmala has found his groove in High-A with a 144 wRC+ this season. He has become the clear top prospect within the Toronto system and should continue to rise on this list.

Brody Hopkins and Charlee Soto are arms to watch. Two of the lesser known pitchers on the list last time around have both risen from very back of the list into the middle section. Go watch them throw and you’ll see how nasty these two could become with some further development.
