MLB Mock Draft 2.0 and College World Series Recap 📈👀
The College Baseball season wrapped up with all eyes turning to the MLB Draft.
You may not love them, but LSU baseball is on top once again in the college baseball world. They wrapped up college baseball season by winning their second chip in the past three seasons!
With the MLB Draft kicking off in under three weeks, our draft coverage will be extensive in the coming weeks.
Stay tuned with Just Baseball for the best coverage of the MLB Draft including our draft day live stream, which we’ll have more details on soon.
MLB Mock Draft 2.0
The second MLB Mock Draft created by our very Tyler Jennings and On the Clock staff went live last week!
This draft class is as complicated as any with a high school names surging up boards lately partially due to a lack of clear superstars in the college ranks compared to recent years.
There has been plenty of movement from our last mock with four of the top five picks changing this time around. So much still feels unknown, but we took our shot at predicting some outcomes for the draft.
Eli Willits is top overall projected pick. The Nationals could go essentially any direction with their first pick, but it does seem like a prep hitter or college arm will be the top selection.
Kade Anderson soars to second pick after dominance in CWS. You’ll read more on this phenom later, but Anderson may have just earned him the title of top arm in the class with his excellent past month.
Kade Anderson. Remember the name.

Jamie Arnold slides but still goes in the top five. Our top projected pick last time does drop a little with Anderson jumping him as the top arm and a few bats going before him as well, largely due to team fit.
Five prep players projected in the top nine picks. The high school talent is well regarded in this draft with Ethan Holliday, Billy Carlson, JoJo Parker, and Seth Hernandez joining Willits as the top prep high school picks. All have varying profiles but a ton of upside to dream on.
Golden Spikes Winner Wehiwa Aloy goes 21st overall. Arkansas’ shortstop was crowned the best player in college baseball but slides down in the first round in this mock.
Check out our full mock draft and listen to On the Clock for a ton of draft coverage over the next few weeks!

LSU Wins College World Series

If they weren’t already, the LSU Tigers have officially become a powerhouse in college baseball with their second National Championship in three years, and eighth since 1990, the most of any team.
The impressive display put on by Jay Johnson’s club this weekend to extinguish the hottest team in the country was beyond impressive, sweeping the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers to cap off their season.
Game one was all Tigers, specifically Kade Anderson, throwing a complete game shutout, striking out 10 Chanticleers with 130 pitches, throwing his hardest fastball of the day on pitch 114 en route to a LSU 1-0 victory.
“His next pitch should probably be some place in the Washington Nationals organization”

Game two was fireworks early, with a quick and questionable ejection of Coastal Carolina Head Coach Kevin Schnall, it put the Chants behind the eight ball immediately.
LSU’s offense would explode early against Coastal ace Jacob Morrison, but the pesky Chants would crawl back with a two-run home run from Wells Sykes in the seventh to make it 5-3, but the Tigers pitching depth would slam the door to secure their Championship.
