MLB All-Star and Trade Deadline Updates 🌟↔️

We take a look at the MLB All-Star voting and trade deadline buzz as we inch towards July.

The college baseball season has officially ended and our eyes are set on the electric month of July ahead of us!

From the MLB Draft to the All-Star Game to the trade deadline, things are about to get real exciting around baseball. We have you covered with everything you need to know, starting with All-Star Game and deadline updates.

Next week, we’ll have a full breakdown of the top MLB Draft prospects and more!

MLB All-Star Update

The fan voting aspect of the All-Star Game typically brings out the angry side of many baseball fans… and understandably so.

The starters often end up not being the most deserving players, but we can always sit back and criticize just that.

Just Baseball’s AL All-Star Ballot

The American League has a number of close calls as we near the next round of All-Star voting and then some absolute lay ups. While the MVP favorite in Yordan Alvarez clears everyone at DH, the next two top candidates have a real case for the first base spot, but will likely get outvoted by the entire country of Canada.

A few other highly contested positions include catcher and second base, where you could certainly make a case for multiple names.

Just Baseball’s NL All-Star Ballot

The National League is headlined by a highly contested outfield that one way or another will exclude someone having an exceptional season. Shohei Ohtani is the clear lock at DH, but many positions really could go any direction.

Voting as of now has some of our selections far away from getting a shot to start, but we believe guys like Otto Lopez deserve some attention.

Potential First-Time All-Stars

Many of the names above are familiar. They’ve been All-Stars, they’re playing under huge contracts, and they’ll be on this roster once again.

However, a ton of young players and late career breakouts deserve their chance to represent their club in Philadelphia this year!

Dillon Dingler might just be the best catcher in MLB right now. There’s a serious case to be made, and this guy should absolutely be an All-Star.

Jordan Walker’s massive breakout season deserves credit. The former top prospect has ascended into stardom this season for the surprisingly competitive St. Louis Cardinals. Regardless of whether or not he gets the starting gig, Walker undoubtedly should be an All-Star for the first time.

Cam Schlittler and Chase Burns are having insane second seasons. One of the guys is the clear AL Cy Young favorite, while the other has been straight up incredible in his own right. These two young arms will be representing their teams in Philly.

The two best closers in baseball this season should get their first nod. We have to show some love to bullpen arms because Cade Smith and Louis Varland have been untouchable this season. They should be anchoring the AL bullpen in this Midsummer Classic.
