It may be the slow start of the offseason, but we are absolutely rolling with content as we gear up for the hot stove to take off soon!

This content includes Aram Leighton’s Final Top 100 Prospects of 2025, which went out last week. This comprehensive list is the best you will find in terms of detailed analysis on every single top prospect in baseball.

Before we dive into nothing but free agency madness, let’s break down all the highlights from the Top 100. This is the future of baseball right here, folks!

Top MLB Prospects

Konnor Griffin overtakes Kevin McGonigle as the top prospect in MLB. In our last update in July, these two were flipped. Griffin proceeded to absolutely destroy Double-A to finish out the season at just 19 years old, propelling him ahead of the Tigers’ top prospect.

Don’t get it twisted though, McGonigle just put up an otherworldly season and is the best pure hitter in the minors. These two are the best of the best, regardless of who you believe should hold the top spot.

Nolan McLean and Trey Yesavage soar after excellent starts to their MLB careers. Despite neither being in the top 30 of our midseason update, these two pitchers made their names known in the past few months. Now I know that many of you saw what Yesavage did in the World Series and are currently saying, “How in the world is he not first?”

Well, as incredible as he was then, this is a long-term projection. McLean got the slight edge here, but these two are the clear best pitching prospects in baseball. I encourage listening to The Call Up for some further analysis!

Young rising names such as Jesus Made, Colt Emerson, and Leo De Vries headline rest of top tier. This top 10 features a variety of exciting players, but it’s always especially fun to see such young studs on this list. Made sprinted through the finish line this season, reaching Double-A at just 18 years old, propelling him to fourth on the list.

Newcomers

Connelly Early’s massive breakout leads to be Top 100 debut at 29th. While many young arms shined down the stretch this season, none was a bigger surprise than Early, who was never a top 100 guy prior to now. He posted a 2.33 ERA across his first four starts and showed the makings of a rotation staple for Boston.

Early joined the Just Baseball Show to talk about his incredible first month as a pro and journey through professional baseball!

Rainiel Rodriguez had an elite season at the lower levels. After just missing our July update, Rodriguez jumps all the way to 46th in this edition. He tore through the complex league and Single-A, finishing the year in High-A for a handful of games. In 84 games between the three levels, he posted a .954 OPS with 20 HR and struck out at a rate that was just a tick above his walk rate.

Biggest Risers

Aidan Miller skyrockets after monster second half. Miller is a high pedigree name after being taken in the first round of the 2023 MLB Draft, but took a massive step forward this season. In the second half of the year, Miller posted a .912 OPS while earning a promotion to Triple-A to end the season. He also more than proved he can be a legit shortstop moving forward.

Strong MLB showings lead to rise for Carter Jensen, Luis Morales, Sal Stewart, and others. A number of prospects were already very much on the radar, but showcased their talent in a brief sample of MLB games. These three highlight this group of players who rose a bunch following a successful first stint at the big league level.

Top Systems

Mets and Mariners lead the pack. While having the highest payroll in baseball, New York has developed quite the elite farm system. Meanwhile, Seattle has a number of key prospects to bolster their roster in the next year or two that fell just short in the ALCS.

Trivia Answer: B) Kevin McGonigle

Despite falling from first to second on our Top 100, McGonigle is unanimously a top two prospect in the game and had an unbelievable season. He should debut for Detroit in 2026.
