Blue Jays Are One Win Away đź’Ť
The Blue Jays can win the World Series tonight as they lead 3-2 in the Fall Classic.

Happy Halloween! But more importantly, happy World Series Game 6 Day!
We could be crowning a World Series champion tonight with the Toronto Blue Jays on the verge of their first World Series win in over 30 years. With that said, the most untouchable arm in baseball lately, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, will take the mound for the Los Angeles Dodgers as he tries to send this to a winner-takes-all Game 7 tomorrow.
I’m not sure anyone outside of Blue Jays fans truly expected Toronto to lead this series 3-2 heading back to Canada…but here we are, folks! This is why we play the games.
Before you head off to your festivities for the evening — or if you’re like most of us traveling a couple steps to your couch for the game — let me break down the last days and the history that could be made tonight.
Game 4 and Game 5
Coming off an 18-inning marathon that resulted in a Freddie Freeman walkoff homer, many (including myself) expected Toronto to roll over. They did just the opposite.
The Blue Jays won the battle of two hungover teams on Tuesday with clutch performances across the board and then their young ace delivered one of the most incredible World Series pitching performances we ever seen to send Toronto back to Canada with a 3-2 series lead.
Trey Yesavage is SPECIAL. We have already seen the 22-year-old dominant in the postseason, but his Game 5 start was one for the ages. This performance will go down as one of the greatest in Toronto history. Here are just a few of the records he broke this week and/or postseason:
The list goes on…just wow.
The Dodgers’ offense has been absymal. It has been ugly…like really ugly. Outside of Shohei Ohtani - and even he has struggled outside of his historic Game 3 - this offense has just not played up to expectations.
The Dodgers offense over the last 29 innings:

Vladdy continues his heroic October. If the Blue Jays weren’t 100% sure of their decision to give Guerrero $500 million prior to this month, they have to be now. His postseason numbers are ridiculous and he added on by homering in both of the last two games including him and Davis Schneider starting off Game 5 in historic fashion.
Davis Schneider and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. are the first duo in WORLD SERIES HISTORY to leadoff a game with back-to-back home runs 🤯
What a moment.

Game 6 Preview
The Blue Jays would rather not face the uncertainty and chaos of a Game 7, while the Dodgers will simply be trying to stay alive with their ace on the bump.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto vs. Kevin Gausman. These two have both put together excellent postseasons, but Yamamoto is coming off consecutive complete games against Milwaukee and then Toronto in Game 2. Gausman was not bad by any means last weekend, but Yamamoto will have the edge.
With that said, nobody aside from Roki Sasaki feels trustworthy in the Dodgers’ bullpen right. So they may need eight innings tonight from Yamamoto.
George Springer returns to lineup. The fact that the Jays won the last two games is already crazy, but feels even more insane when you consider that it was all without Springer. He’ll return tonight, albeit unlikely with full strength, and look to provide another spark.
Who will step up? This is when heroes are made. Who do you think will be the player that steps up to help win their franchise the World Series this weekend?
